Vehicle Registration

It has recently occurred to me that my horse float is sitting idle in my shed due to the Government declared stock standstill while my registration clock is ticking over.

Wouldn't it be a nice gesture if Premier Anna Bligh would implement a policy whereby those of us who have been affected by the EI were granted a free extension on our vehicle registrations equivalent to the time that has lapsed during the stock standstill.

This would serve a dual purpose:
(1) to alleviate the financial pressures on those affected by EI; and
(2) to act as an offset for recreational and pleasure horse owners who have incurred expenses as a consequence of the virus.

In wouldn't waste my time waiting for Anna Bligh to do any thing that would help us, the horse racing industry wouldn't want us non racing types to get any sort of break that they haven't got

stop being such tight arses, & get over yourselves, take your plates off & get a refund on your unused portion of rego, then go in & re-register it later after EI, if its that bad.
no-one can use their floats as there are no events even in the clear areas, there are more important things than whinging over rego fees that you'd have paid up already anyway.......
