WHY ARE ALL MAJOR ROYALS .IE( YES NOT EI. )FALLING AT OUR FEET WHILE RACING CONTINUES TO PROGRESS.

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE SHOW HORSE, SHOW JUMPING, PONY CLUBBERS THAT ATTEND AND SUPPORT THE SMALLER SHOWS TO GAIN PERFORMANCE??????????? AND ENJOY DOING IT.

I completely agree with you.
We need to all have the freedom of being able to vaccinate.
I am in a buffer zone so my horses have fortunately for me been vaccinated. I think i have a little more piece of mind in taking my horse out when we can.
But i have friends who cannot get their horses vaccinated as they have been trying all avenues but due to a obvious slack in DPI information and lack of injections cannot. Some people i know dont want to take their horses out until they are vaccinated, so why not order more vaccine and play fair.
I am also not very happy with the way the DPI or the people in their offices are treating my friends over the phone. They are being rude and speaking to them like they are stupid.
All we want is answers . Vaccinate everyone that wants it i say and lets start dealing with it like the rest of the world has had to.
The truth is troy i don't think they know what they are doing. Maybe they need more international help like they should have ASKED for in the first place. Work it out come on.
Oh yeah if racing in small not so financial clubs can commence like it has what about these big shows.
what you said i true troy when will we all be the same. my mum is finally understanding what i've been jumping on at. we've all got gear sitting there doing nothing and we can't just leave it to run out of rego. our soceity memeberships maybe we can but not the float/truck. it will never be the same, one horse coughs someone will be reporting it. people will be looking twice at you no gear loaned out in case you have something etc. we're all stuffed!!!!!

Its the same down here and we are EI free. People do not want to take their horses out unless they can have the safety net of vaccination. If you don't want to vaccinate thats fine, don't.
Not many has voluntarily registered their horses online. I wonder if they changed it to register your horses to have them vaccinated whether the server could hold against the flood.
I agree with both of you bring on Freedom of Vaccination so we can just get on with it.
Do you really think that vaccination is the key to getting everything going again???? I am in a green zone so can not get my horses vaccinated.
The main reason for the Sydney Royal to be cancelled to a majority of horse events is the quantine peroid required before returning to amber and green zones. As it has been pointed out the Sydney show runs over 2 weeks and in that time you have horses come one day and leave the next and then another come for 2 days etc. There is no space in Sydney to accomodate these horses for the quarentine period of 2 weeks after the compitition.
Normallity would be great but vaccination would make it very hard on people with many horses or who do the little ag shows once a year.
Please think of other people and not just yourselves......

I would love you to put your name on this one.............If you do not attend the smaller ag show's how do you gain performance for royals. If you have the answer to this then tell me so I can performe my 3yr old for Royals than probably wont happen in 2008.

And by the way you should be able to get free access to vaccine. You are not seeing the bigger picture of the futer.... if you were vaccinated if you had the choice,,,you could travel as we used to all over Australia to compete in freedom.
This was never an about me blog I for one said in my blog all those in other states... and yes I may not have mentioned green zones why, who and how is stopping you from doing what you want to do.????
