Racehorse vaccinations good for all of us!
I know that most people out there are pretty upset about the bias towards race horses in this vaccination fiasco, however just think about the benefits to all of us:
1. When those racehorses break down and become $500 hacks, your next goodhorse will come with a microchip and EI vaccinations!
2. The vaccinated race horses will be unable to be dumped at doggers, therefore even more cheap hacks will become available without having to haggle with the dogger!
3. The after effects of training a racehorse who has had EI will ensurethat many more of these horses will be unable to race competitively, andwill be advertised for $500 even sooner than usual!
4. The "Off The Track" section of HorseDeals will have to be expanded to allow for all the has-been racehorses that are now unable to race or be dogged, giving us all even more pages of the most fabulous magazine to read!
5. The viability (or otherwise) of the EI vaccination will be able to be fully tested in the racehorse population and not on our valuable friends and family members.

I too applied for a permit to move my horse home, as we do not want her at the place she is staying at, the people are crazy. We have received numerous phone calls about our permit and no one can tell us the same answer, they have no idea. I agree that the public knows more than the people in these departments trying to control it. Goodluck!
