What is the problem with everyone
I wish everyone would stop blaming the thoroughbred industry for bringing this to our beautiful country. How about all the other breeds imported eg Warmbloods, Quarter horses, ponies, Arabians etc etc. Anyone of us who imports has the chance that their horse may be the ONE!!! who brings this in.
Grow up stop being blind and face it. It may have been yours/ or mine import that could have brought it. Aren't we lucky it wasn't. THIS TIME!!!. PLEASE blame Australian quarantine not anyone person or(horse) industry.
Horse people against the government and their laughable biosecurity I say not horse people against horse people
Oh and for all the fruities out there no I have NO connection with the racing industry.

Well, I have to say that Chloe is quite the idiot with her comment "I wish everyone would stop blaming the Thoroughbred Industry for bringing this into our beautiful country". Maybe Chloe you should look into this with open eyes. The Thoroughbred industry is to blame because they do not use Artificial Breeding like everyone else around the world, if they did this wouldn't happen. Oh by the way these shuttle stallions are in quarantine for 14days every other horse is longer. How do you feel about quality horses dying from this as is could have been prevented. All we hear about is the poor racing industry, well I am sick to death of it. They are getting more money than you could imagine. You grow up and open your eyes, do you actually have a horse or do you only dream about them?????

Horses are imported all the time, BUT these Thoroughbred stallions are shuttle stallions you brainless idiot, used only for breeding because once again Artificial Breeding is not used by the RACING IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell us Chloe why is racing still allowed race but all other events cancelled, can you tell us why please, please, please I am dying to know seeing that you have all the answers, this is sooooooo unfair but you seem to think that the racing industry is unfairly judged, I got news for you sweety!!!!!!!! My stallions breeding season was over before it started because of the HORSE FLU BUT if these stallions were USED FOR ARTIFICIAL BREEDING they would not have the need to be in AUSTRALIA FOR Quarantine. Had Artificial breeding been used by the racing industry the disease would not be here. DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GOB OFF!!!!
Surely you must read this fantastic site with updates, what planet are you ON? Did you listen to Heath Ryan? Can you exlpain to him why the thoroughbred racing industry is so hard done by???? I would love to know your answer and so would the rest of the recreational horse people and those who have lost valuable mares, foals, stallions & geldings & why no one else can compete BUT THE STINKING RACES CAN STILL GO AHEAD. GET REAL GIRL.

IF YOU OWN A HORSE HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF IT CONTRACTED THE FLU AND DIED OR YOU RELIED ON THE HORSE INDUSTRY FOR INCOME.WAKE UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES GET OUT OF THE TIME WARP YOU ARE IN AND GET INTO THE REAL WORLD.
