Equine influenza outbreak-29/11/07

There are 2083 Infected Properties (IPs) in Queensland with 8 new IPs recorded. However, there is a continuing reduction in IPs due to reclassification to the status of R (Resolved). A property's R status means that its horses are no longer shedding the virus. Please maintain decontamination procedures and remain vigilant

Call Centre 13 25 23 Now open 8am-8pm 7 days a week

Thank GOD for vaccination (Well we are about to find out)We had our 2nd lot of vaccination 2+ weeks ago and not a minute to soon..We like lots have people have done the right thing and kept people of our property completely.. The vets doing the vaccinations are the only ones who have been here since August 24..
The reason I say we are about to find out that it has made its way into Redwood Circle Jimboomba.A the couple nights ago I was woken by the dreaded sound of a my neighbors horse coughing..When she tried to report it to the DPI she was told her beautiful horse probably had a cold or one of the many viruses going around..There reason why it could not be EI because they had NO reports of it in a 2k radius.. It has been with in a 2k radius for weeks..
Well guys I can / could sleep better knowing that everything is under control if it was not for one horse coughing now but wait there are 3 horse coughing.
PS . A big thanks to all our loyal client..
