I want answers!

Armidale is at wits end with equine influenza.
I am 15 and I live via Armidale NSW.EI is all around us and there is nothing we can do.
Properties under quarantine ( two of them just down the road from me ), unanswered questions confusion and anxiety.
My family have a mare which we purchased about 2 weeks before the confirmed outbreak of equine influenza........SHE IS STILL IN GLOUCESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in a buffer zone however she is not.
The racing industry can move in their purple zone yet those in the amber cannot!!!!!!
And the purple zone actually has the bloody flu.....!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the $#^* are they playing at???????................Armidale is at it's wits end!!!!!!!!!
No answers, No relief and No attempt to resolve the disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We deserve more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............To many people have suffered because of equine influenza.
The racing industry brought EI into Australia and now everyday people like you and me are suffering as a result.
Something is wrong with that yet I don’t know what???..........oh wait ......yes I do .......it's................THEY'RE ALL IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
................ Henry.

Hey Henry,

I think that you need to get your facts right. The racing industry did not bring EI to Australia. Encosta De Largo, a stud stallion was returning from Ireland (no EI there)to commence stud duties here. He caught the disease from quarintine. They think that it was actually carried by a groom returning from Japan. Sorry to hear that you have not got your new pony yet. We are in the amber zone too, and we train racehorses. We are just like you, stuck with nowhere to go! Our racehorses now look like hacks ready for a show. Unfortunately, winning at a show won't pay the bills! Just remember there are a few more people suffering a whole lot worse than you, not to mention our owners that are still paying bills as well. All your worried about is your stuck pony! Get with it pal!

Ok now i have made several entries to this blog and so have many others and it's not like i'm going to stop now.
So whoever left the comment "go get a job and do something worth while", can go jump..!!!!!!!
I am 15, i'm still at school, i have a life and i dont need strangers telling me what do do!!!!
I think the racing industry is a joke and they shouldn't recieve a cent of compensation!!!!!!
they brought the desease so they should tough it out like the rest of us.
So why dont you do something worthwhile.........and open your eyes to whats happening to EVERY 1............!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Henry,
I am sure that if your parents were racehorse trainers, they would be screaming for compo!

hey look i get that encosta de lago was coming from ireland but the fact is..someone or some horse associated with the racing/thoroughbred industry did bring EI into australia.
I also understand that no my mare is not the only horse in danger, and yes heaps of others are in much worse of a situation. And i am grateful that my parents income dose not rely on anything to do with horses.
i feel for those who have lost horses and and for those people who suffered financial loss.
and if the racing/thoroughbred industry is so worried why dont they ledge to stop the currently permitted horse movements in the "purple zone".
My district is recieving new reports of local equine influenza outbreaks each day and there is nothing we can do about it.
