Horses at the 2008 Sydney Royal Easter Show
Sydney Royal Horse Classic
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is pleased to announce the Sydney Royal Horse Classic will be held over 6 days at the Sydney Royal Easter Show from Friday 28 March 2008.
The Minister for Primary Industries, The Hon Ian Macdonald, has announced the Department of Primary Industries will sponsor The Classic and provide $100,000 in prize money making this Australia's richest Show Horse competition.
Competitions at The Classic will include many Saddle Classes, Led and Ridden Breeds, Riding competitions and Harness classes competing for the $100,000 prize money pool.
The Schedules for The Classic and other Sydney Royal Horse Competitions, including Showjumping, Rodeo, Polo, Polocrosse, Cutting Horse, Tentpegging and Campdraft have been posted on this website.
Horse Exhibitors who have already placed entries to competitions for the 2008 Sydney Royal Easter Show do NOT need to reapply.
The RAS will work with the DPI will assist Exhibitors to access EI vaccine as required to meet biosecurity arrangements to compete at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
A vaccination request form will be posted to all Horse Exhibitors in the coming week.
The RAS thanks Horse Exhibitors for their patience in waiting for the finalisation of this Schedule and for their continued support of our Show. The Sydney Royal Horse Classic will be a spectacular tribute to the wonderful Australian heritage of showing horses at the Sydney Royal.
